Technical Service Engineer

Location: Foston, Derbyshire

Duration: Permanent

Salary: £30,000-£40,000 per annum (DOE) + permanent employee benefits

To support our client’s growth strategy, we are looking for a number of Technical Service Engineers with a proven track record in mechanical and electrical engineering for permanent positions based in Foston, Derbyshire.

Our client’s technologies collect accurate real-time data about components during the production process, giving an

unrivalled level of quality control that helps businesses reduce scrap, increase throughput, and save both time and money.

To support their growth strategy, we are looking for a Technical Service Engineer with a proven track record in mechanical and electrical engineering.

Applicants must have a fresh and dynamic approach, be fast learners and feel passionate about pursuing a rewarding career in the metrology arena.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide service support to customers throughout the UK.

• Deliver and install the full product range.

• Attend breakdowns and resolve challenges on-site.

• Conduct hardware, software and maintenance training for customers.

• Support new business opportunities and revenue streams.

• Establish new and maintain existing customer relationships.

• Manage and interpret service contract requirements, calculating relevant quotations and handling negotiations.

• Contribute towards meeting revenue targets.

• Attend national trade shows, in-house exhibitions and other marketing events as required.

• Team player, with a flexible outlook.

• Excellent communicator.

• Good time management skills.

• Some experience or qualification in electro/mechanical fault-finding from a service/maintenance

environment.

• Computer literate, with knowledge of software and Windows-based systems.

• Willing to travel and in possession of a full and clean driving licence.

• Able to spend nights away from home as and when necessary.
