QHSE Manager

We are currently recruiting for a QHSE Manager for a permanent position based in Brownhills, Walsall, working for a well-established engineering firm.

Working Hours:

  • 8.00am to 16.30pm – Monday to Thursday

  • 8.00am to 13.30pm – Friday

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Authority

  • The authority to stop production to correct quality, safety or environmental problems.

Role with Company Certification

  • Maintain company ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO 45001, 27001, 1090-1, F4N, Achilles UVDB Systems and Certification.

  • Manage transitions to meet the requirements of updates to the above standards.

Auditing and Inspection

  • Manage Internal and Customer Audit Schedule.

  • Perform internal audits on the client.

  • Represent the company in second party and third-party audits.

Management Review

  • Host the annual management review meeting.

  • Reporting on the performance of the management systems to senior management.

  • Monitor the Businesses Objectives and Targets and present them at the Management Review.

EHS

  • Perform Accident and Incident Investigations and ensure that corrective actions are implemented.

  • Provide analysis on Accident trends and report status to Top management.

  • Report RIDDORS to the HSE if required.

  • Produce Risk Assessments and maintain register and issuing of documents.

  • Produce COSHH Assessments and maintain register and issuing of documents.

  • Lead monthly site safety and housekeeping walk and provide monthly report.

  • Daily site patrol.

Corrective Action and Concessions

  • Manage non-conformance process and records including the non-conformance register.

  • Perform Corrective Actions and 8D’s.

  • Ensure that third party NCR’s are allocated, recorded and closed out.

  • Manage Concessions process and the Concessions Register.

Document Control

  • Maintain policies, IMS Manual, Factory Production Control Manual, ISM Manual, procedures, work instructions and forms (WIG’s and QSID’s).

  • Generate lower-level quality plans (ITP’s) and method statements.

Customers

  • Complete or assist with the completion of customer questionnaires and tenders.

  • Review enquiries and determine quality requirements.

  • Perform, record and evaluate customer surveys.
