Applications Engineer
Location: Foston, Derbyshire
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum + permanent employee benefits
To support our client’s growth strategy, we are currently recruiting for an Applications Engineer with a proven track record in the field of metrology for a permanent position based in Foston, Derbyshire.
Our client has over 30 years of experience in supplying world-leading optical and multi-sensor measuring equipment to the manufacturing industry.
Their technologies collect accurate real-time data about components during the production process, giving an unrivalled level of quality control that helps businesses reduce scrap, increase throughput and save both time and money.
Applicants must have a fresh and dynamic approach, be fast learners and feel passionate about pursuing a rewarding career in engineering.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide applications support to customers throughout the UK.
Assess a customer’s complex technical requirements and offer suitable solutions.
Support the sales team with product demonstrations both on and off-site.
Provide training to customers in the use of OGP metrology software and advise on correct measurement techniques.
Work on metrology projects including programme generation and gauge repeatability and reproducibility (R&R) testing.
Install the software-based elements of an OGP product.
Execute sub-contract measurement services.
Support new business opportunities and revenue streams.
Establish new and maintain existing customer relationships.
Contribute towards meeting revenue targets.
Attend national trade shows, in-house exhibitions and other marketing events as required.

Able to spend nights away from home as and when necessary.
